Job summary

Oklahoma City-County Health Department is seeking a Human Resources Associate within the Administrative Services Division. The role supports daily HR functions, maintains employment records, administers pay, and coordinates training per CHRO direction.

Entry-level with room to grow; requires a Bachelor’s in HR or related field with experience, or a Master’s degree with two years of experience. A valid Oklahoma driver license is required. Office-based with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or related field required plus three years related experience
• Master's degree plus two years of experience required
• Valid Oklahoma driver license required

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and implementation of recruitment strategy
• Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to boards/newspapers/colleges
• Maintain online application software and consult with CHRO to identify hiring needs
• Review resumes and determine qualifications
• Provide onboarding support and bi-monthly new employee orientation
• Maintain OCCHD's affirmative action plan and conduct background checks
