Job summary

The Arc Eastern Connecticut is seeking a Human Resources Generalist I to support recruitment, onboarding and full employee lifecycle processes in a fast-paced environment. You will help administer benefits, manage records, and ensure compliance with labor laws while serving as a primary contact for staff inquiries.

Qualifications include a High School diploma (Associate degree preferred) and 1–3 years HR experience, with strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree a plus.
• 1+ year to 3 years HR-related experience required; knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and HR systems; ensure confidentiality.
