Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) in Dallas, TX is seeking an HR Generalist to support HR programs and policies under the HR manager. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent service to employees and management.

This role requires 2–5 years of HR generalist experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong communication skills; experience with HRIS and DairyU is a plus.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
• Experience with HR information systems and Microsoft Office.
• SHRM/HRCI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer recruitment process for non-exempt/exempt roles.
• Coordinate job postings, interviews, references, and onboarding.
• Assist with onboarding to ensure a positive new-hire experience.
• Process payroll and apply wage/labor laws; maintain records.
• Handle employee records and status changes.
• Prepare EEO/AAP reporting documents and HR reports.
• Explain benefits enrollment and coordinate FMLA/STD programs.
• Support LOA processes and track return-to-work dates.
• Communicate HR program updates to staff and leadership.
• Support special HR projects and process improvements.
