Job summary

The Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an HR Generalist to support recruiting, payroll, benefits, training, and employee relations across programs. You will manage onboarding and HRIS records and partner with managers to deliver accurate service.

Responsibilities include recruiting administration, payroll processing, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 2 to 5 years of progressive generalist Human Resources experience
• Experience with HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Certification and/or License - Human Resources certifications preferred (e.g., SHRM, HRCI)

Responsibilities

• Administer the recruitment process for non-exempt and/or exempt positions
• Coordinate requisitions, job postings, interview schedules, and onboarding
• Work with hiring managers to recruit and select candidates, design interview questions, and coach managers
• Manage onboarding process to ensure excellent new-employee experience
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records
• Provide employee records administrative support
• Assist in preparing EEO/AAP reporting documents and HR reports
• Ensure benefits enrollment information and coordinate wellness programs
• Coordinate LOA processes and track leave dates
• Communicate HR programs and announcements to the organization
• Support corporate initiatives with local leadership
• Provide guidance on policies and compliance to managers and employees
• Manage HRIS data uploads and reporting in DairyU
• Process HR-related invoices
• Maintain confidentiality of HR information
• Participate in projects related to performance, onboarding, compensation, and training
• Research HR best practices and contribute to process development
