Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks a seasoned HR Generalist to manage recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations for the Lebanon location. The role partners with Centers of Expertise and regional leaders to deliver HR services in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate HR degree with 5–8 years of generalist experience, strong HRIS and MS Office skills, and labor relations exposure. Master’s degree and HR certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; 5–8 years’ HR generalist experience.
• Master’s degree preferred and HR certifications are a plus.
• Experience with HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications; union environment experience may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment for hourly, professional, and management roles in the assigned location and guide interview/selection processes.
• Oversee onboarding planning with supervisors and ensure new hires have proper orientation and resources.
• Drive talent management, engagement initiatives, and retention efforts across the location.
• Advise leaders on HR processes, policies, compensation actions, and performance management.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payroll execution.
• Create people analytics and reports on turnover, staffing, and compensation activity.
• Provide employee relations support and address concerns with escalation as needed.
• Possibly supervise 1–2 exempt/non-exempt staff, including coaching and development.
