Pathway Caring for Children is seeking an experienced HR Generalist/Manager to lead the day-to-day human resources functions for our nonprofit organization in Canton, OH. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll support, compliance, and HR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in HR practices, ideally in nonprofit environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment from postings to onboarding.
• Serve as HR resource for employees and supervisors.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding.
• Support performance management, coaching, and employee relations.
• Oversee benefits, leave administration, and payroll support.
• Maintain personnel records and background checks.
• Ensure compliance with laws and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain HR policies and Employee Handbook.
• Handle investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Manage HRIS data and reporting.
• Coordinate training and professional development.
• Support engagement and workplace culture initiatives.
• Identify improvements to HR processes and employee experience.
