Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its Human Resources team and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leaders across the business, handling employee relations, investigations, and performance management.

This hands-on, multi-location role supports onboarding, development, talent initiatives, and broader HR programs while upholding confidentiality, data accuracy, and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required
• 5–7 years progressive HR experience, Generalist/HRBP preferred
• Strong employee relations background with experience managing workplace issues
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and documenting findings
• Ability to coach and advise managers on performance management and development
• Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or client groups

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, guiding policies, procedures, and day-to-day people matters
• Partner with managers on employee relations issues including performance, attendance, conduct, conflict, and discipline
• Conduct fair investigations into complaints and policy concerns
• Document investigation findings and recommendations with confidentiality
• Coach managers through performance conversations and corrective action
• Support onboarding, development, and leadership training initiatives
• Contribute to annual performance management and compensation processes
• Maintain accurate employee data and documentation across HR systems
• Support HR reporting, compliance activities, audits, and HR programs implementations
• Collaborate with cross-functional HR colleagues to ensure consistent program delivery
