Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of HR principles and practices including positive employee relations, hiring, training, performance management, and employment law
• Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organization
• Skills in researching for legal compliance and analytic ability to formulate best practices
• Effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to effectively present reports to management
• Knowledge and skill normally acquired through bachelor-level education in HR management, industrial psychology or business administration
• At least three to five years in HR generalist role; or three years in professional/managerial HR role with a bachelor's degree
• Professional HR certification (or progress towards) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Handle full-service HR management for hourly and salaried employees
• Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new hires
• Lead employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary actions in line with policy and law
• Manage recruitment planning and internal posting processes; partner with agencies for temporary staffing
• Oversee HR records, reporting, leave management, and budget tracking
• Deliver HR leadership training on interviewing, EEO, diversity and internal policies
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policies
• Assist in safety initiatives and participate in safety reviews
