Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Human Resources Generalist to manage HR for hourly and salaried employees at the Berkeley facility. You will be the first contact with remote oversight of the Sr. HR Manager, handling employee relations, staffing, and policy compliance.

Responsibilities include onboarding, recruitment coordination, HR records management, training delivery, and safety participation. A bachelor’s degree in HR/Business and 3–5 years’ HR Generalist experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 3–5 years in a progressively responsible HR Generalist role.
• Professional HR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires and maintain employee relations.
• Staffing planning and recruitment support, including posting and interviews.
• Maintain HR records, prepare reports, and monitor data integrity.
• Deliver HR leadership training on interviewing, EEO, diversity, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policy.
• Participate in safety teams and assist with unemployment processes.
