Pearl River Foods is seeking an HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist to support a high-volume manufacturing workforce and own weekly payroll for about 600 production workers. You will balance employee services, HR administration, and payroll controls with confidentiality and accuracy.

The role emphasizes process improvements, cross-training, and timely HR guidance on attendance, benefits, and changes. Strong Excel and ProLiant experience are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 2–3 years of progressive HR generalist, payroll, timekeeping, or related experience; manufacturing or high-volume hourly workforce experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of payroll concepts, timekeeping controls, wage and hour requirements, FMLA, and other employment laws relevant to the role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential, deadline-driven work with high accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and HR, payroll, or timekeeping systems; experience with ProLiant preferred.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, customer-service, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production employees, supervisors, staffing partners, and leaders across multiple shifts.
• Ability to prioritize competing requests, follow through on commitments, and escalate when needed.

Aufgaben

• Own the end-to-end weekly payroll process for ~600 production workers, adhering to payroll calendar and controls.
• Review timekeeping data and troubleshoot hours, shift differentials, overtime, and leave.
• Enter and validate production inputs used in payroll calculations.
• Onboard new staff and coordinate with staffing agencies and HR leadership.
• Provide frontline HR support on attendance, benefits, and routine employment matters.
• Document processes, improve standard work, and ensure payroll accuracy and security.
