Service Professionals in Union, NJ is seeking a full-time HR Generalist to support payroll, benefits, and employee relations. This role focuses on timely HR processes, compliance with federal and New Jersey laws, and delivering an exceptional experience for our team.

Base pay ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, with uncapped performance-based bonuses, comprehensive health and dental benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll processing, benefits, and 401(k) administration.
• Employee relations experience with sound judgment and conflict resolution.
• Working knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment compliance.
• Clear communication, strong organization, and discretion with confidential information.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems. Paycom experience is a bonus.
• Independent follow-through and the drive to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Payroll and 401(k): Process biweekly payroll in Paycom, reconcile pay and deductions, and answer employee questions. Coordinate 401(k) contributions, loans, distributions, and audits.
• Employee relations: Address employee concerns and conflicts. Support investigations, discipline, and terminations. Track manager performance reviews.
• Compliance: Keep employee records accurate. Stay current on federal and New Jersey employment law. Manage leave, policies, notices, and audit readiness.
• Benefits: Manage enrollments, changes, and open enrollment. Coordinate HRA, FSA, health, life, and voluntary benefits.
• Onboarding & offboarding: Partner with our recruiter on offers and new hires. Manage orientation, Paycom onboarding, terminations, and exit interviews.
• HR programs: Support recognition, engagement, training, and HR policy improvements.
