Job summary

Lawyers for Justice, P.C.® is seeking an HR Generalist to support payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and HR administration. This fast-paced role requires confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

You will collaborate with the People Team and respond to day-to-day HR inquiries from employees and managers. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in HR Generalist roles, hands-on payroll experience (Paylocity a plus), and a detail-oriented

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with payroll and timekeeping processes.
• Experience with benefits administration including medical, dental and vision.
• Familiarity with 401(k) administration and retirement benefits.
• Experience using an HRIS/payroll system (Paylocity a plus).
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information discretely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Payroll & Timekeeping: review timesheets, assist with bi-weekly payroll, resolve discrepancies, maintain records.
• Benefits Administration: assist with health/dental/vision plans, enrollment, eligibility, and Open Enrollment.
• HR Administration: maintain HRIS data, onboard/offboard employees, file documentation.
• Employee Relations & HR Support: serve as HR resource for employees and managers, support policy enforcement.
