Job summary

Public Agency Retirement Services (PARS) seeks an HR Generalist to administer a full range of human resources functions across recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave administration, performance management, employee relations, and compliance. You will partner with the VP of Corporate to ensure policy interpretation, confidentiality, and consistent processes across the organization.

The role emphasizes accurate HRIS maintenance, payroll accuracy, benefit elections, and timely reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on HR generalist experience covering recruiting/onboarding, payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
• Working knowledge of an ATS, HRIS, and payroll system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential employee information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and onboarding: manage full-cycle process and onboarding.
• Payroll: own end-to-end processing and timecard resolution.
• Benefits and leave administration: manage elections, open enrollment, COBRA, leaves.
• Performance management: support reviews, goals, and documentation.
• Employee support: serve as a first point of contact and maintain confidentiality.
• Compliance documentation and HRIS management: maintain files and ensure wage/hour compliance.
