Job summary

Lassonde-1 is seeking a Generalist, Human Resources - On Site in Hendersonville, NC. The role supports HR operations for the local facility, partnering with the HR Manager and site leaders to implement initiatives while handling staffing, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The HR Generalist will manage day-to-day HR activities, ensure confidentiality, and contribute to strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field with five plus (5+) years of progressive HR generalist experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Data-based thinking and process-adherence
• Work on site daily to meet internal clients' needs
• Previous experience working in ADP and UKG platforms
• High level of skills in handling sensitive and confidential situations/information with the demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Deploy and follow through on HR initiatives with the site HR Manager and site management to drive initiatives
• Supports payroll and time and attendance
• Performs benefit administration and communicates benefit information to employees
• Handles HR transactional activities such as payroll change requests and employee life changes
• Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing
• Participates in developing department objectives, processes, and systems
• Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding processes
• Creates an environment of positive employee relations, keeps confidentiality, establishes trust and credibility, is perceived by employees as approachable and fair
• Provide employee relations coaching and guidance to supervisors and management in handling complex employee performance issues
• Views and produces HR reports, and maintains HRIS records
• Participates in staff meetings, other meetings, and seminars as requested and/or assigned
• Participates in or leads other human resources projects as needed
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality in daily tasks
• Works with the HR Manager to approve time in timekeeping system and ensures all information in the system is correct
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
• Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position
• Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
• Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position
• Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned
