Job summary

Mankato Area Public Schools seeks a HR Generalist to lead employee onboarding and contribute to absence management processes. This full-time role is based at the district office with standard school-year hours.

You will act as the primary contact for onboarding new hires and substitute teachers, monitor Frontline Absence Management, and help ensure compliant personnel records while collaborating with district administrators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with administrative coordination, employee information systems, personnel records, or comparable operational processes.
• Ability to independently organize work, manage multiple priorities, anticipate operational problems, and meet established deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and consistently apply established procedures and resolve routine operational issues.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based information systems, electronic record management, spreadsheets, and standard office applications.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, recognize discrepancies, and handle confidential personnel information appropriately.
• Ability to communicate procedures and provide guidance or training to employees and other system users.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees, school administrators, and district departments while exercising sound judgment within assigned responsibilities.
