Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, North Lawrence Plant, North Lawrence, NY, is seeking an HR Generalist to support employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and compliance in a full-time, on-site role.

The position partners with managers, unions, and staff to administer benefits, labor relations, training, and HR programs while upholding confidentiality and applicable laws and CBAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience with HRIS, preferably UKG/UltiPro.
• Unionized environment experience preferred.
• Grievance administration, labor relations or CBAs experience desirable.
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHRP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations and performance management.
• Administer and interpret CBAs and labor contract provisions.
• Own onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
• Maintain physical and digital employee files and HR records.
• Handle employee inquiries and engage with the Employee Engagement Committee.
• Assist with leave administration and regulatory compliance.
• Support talent acquisition and collaboration with department managers.
• Perform other duties as needed to support business objectives.
