Job summary

DIG Midwest is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support for employees and managers across our multi-location footprint. You will handle benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, HR compliance, records, and HRIS while collaborating with the HR Director to maintain a compliant and positive employee experience.

The role is based in Columbus, OH with weekly travel to Lancaster, Xenia, and Columbus offices to ensure on-site HR coverage and alignment with business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, benefits administration, employment laws, and HR compliance.
• Experience advising managers and independently resolving routine HR concerns.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems; BambooHR experience preferred.
• HR-related degree or SHRM-CP/PHR is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, and employment matters.
• Advise and coach managers on employee performance, attendance, corrective actions, and policy application.
• Evaluate routine employee relations concerns and assist with investigations and documentation.
• Escalate complex or high-risk matters to the HR Director for guidance and review.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and positive workplace relationships.
