Job summary

Dexter Group seeks a proactive HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing environment, partnering with leaders and employees to deliver a compliant, high-performing workplace.

You will administer and improve programs across employee relations, benefits, leave, performance management, onboarding, training, and HR compliance, while maintaining accurate HRIS data and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Typically 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, recruiting/onboarding, benefits and leave administration, performance management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and interpret HR policies; update with business needs and employment law.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements; support audits and record retention.
• Administer HR processes from hire to retire with accurate documentation and data integrity.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HRIS transactions with attention to privacy.
• Coach employees and supervisors on policy interpretation and workplace concerns.
• Support performance management cycles and documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and required compliance like I-9 and E-Verify.
• Assist with benefits administration, leaves, and annual open enrollment.
• Identify training needs and develop HR trainings; support succession planning.
• Prepare HR metrics and dashboards; collaborate with payroll for data alignment.
• Support cross-functional projects to improve HR processes and employee experience.
