Job summary

Preferred Behavioral Health Group is seeking an in-person Human Resources Generalist for our Brick, NJ location. This role supports onboarding/offboarding, leave management, workers’ comp, and internship oversight using ADP Workforce Now.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in HR, a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, and may have PHR/SHRM-CP desirability. This is full-time with comprehensive benefits and a focus on trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent and Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Licensure: PHR or SHRM-CP desirable.
• Experience: 1–2 years in Human Resources; nonprofit sector a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handles onboarding and offboarding using ADP Workforce Now.
• Manages pre-employment screening: background checks, fingerprinting, and related docs.
• Administers leaves (FMLA/NJFLA/other) and coordinates with payroll and healthcare facilities.
