Job summary

LifeWorks in Austin, TX is seeking an HR Generalist I to join our Human Resources team. This role supports day-to-day HR operations with an emphasis on benefits, leave administration, employee wellbeing and engagement, HR systems and confidential employee support.

This full-time, exempt position earns a competitive rate ranging from $57,643 - $81,389 depending upon experience. Benefits include 24 PTO days, 11 holidays, a premium-free medical plan with $100 monthly HSA, and retirement with 50%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Experience supporting benefits administration, leaves, engagement, or related HR functions.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other employment laws.
• Experience supporting Open Enrollment, benefits education, wellness initiatives, or vendor relationships.
• Experience with an HRIS and maintaining confidential employee information.
• Proficient in MS Office; intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for benefits, leaves, policies, HR systems, and confidential support.
• Assist administration of employee benefit programs, enrollment, and resources.
• Coordinate and ensure compliant benefits and leaves processes with partners and finance.
• Support annual and mid-year benefits enrollment activities and related communications.
• Coordinate leave of absence processes, notices, and return-to-work actions.
• Assist with ADA accommodations and confidentiality in documentation.
• Maintain employee records in HRIS and support audits and reporting.
• Develop HR communications and trainings on benefits and wellbeing.
