Job summary

Life Unlimited is seeking a highly organized HR Generalist to support benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR compliance. The role partners with all levels of staff and requires handling sensitive information with discretion.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in HR, 3 years of HR experience (SHRM certification a plus), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with emphasis in HR; SHRM certification with 5+ years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Current driver’s license with reliable transportation for multi-site visits.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment.
• Serve as HR liaison and backup to HR Manager; handle confidential inquiries.
• Recruit for key positions; manage postings, screenings, scheduling, and background checks.
• Facilitate onboarding and ensure completion of new-hire paperwork.
• Support performance management processes including goal setting and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain records.
• Prepare HR reports and use HRIS to maintain accurate employee data.
