Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, employee relations and training across associates at our second location south of Birmingham. The role involves partnering with leadership to maintain a compliant, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in HR or related field and at least 3 years of Generalist HR experience, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to handle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years prior Generalist HR experience.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism.
• Union experience would be helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting efforts for hourly new hires and conduct new hire orientation.
• Prepare and administer onboarding process and coordinate pre-employment screenings.
• Organize employee engagement activities and promote culture of inclusion.
• Assist with employee training and identifying resources for growth.
• Update and maintain HRIS and process transactions for all staff.
• Advise management on employee relations matters and policy compliance.
• Coordinate leave of absence processes and unemployment claim responses.
