Job summary

Techstra Solutions is seeking an organized, people-focused HR Generalist to help build a scalable, employee-focused HR function in Pittsburgh. You will work closely with the Head of HR across the employee lifecycle, gaining hands-on experience in operations, onboarding, performance management, benefits, and compliance.

In the short term, you will ensure day-to-day HR processes run smoothly and take administrative responsibilities off the Head of HR.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HR (HR Generalist or similar).
• Working knowledge of core HR processes.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day HR administrative processes and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate onboarding, pre-employment checks, and onboarding activities.
• Oversee new hire orientation and explain policies, benefits, and resources.
• Support employee relations, investigations, and performance concerns.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, leave programs, compliance, and HR audits.
• Help document scalable HR processes and support continuous improvement.
