Job summary

Big River Resources, LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations at the West Burlington corporate office. You will assist with policies, programs, and reporting, working closely with the HR Manager and company managers on HR issues.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and compliance.
• Strong relations with employees, supervisors and leadership.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms.
• Knowledge of federal/state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, EEO).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Ability to interpret policies and apply them consistently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer day-to-day HR operations and processes.
• Support implementation of HR services, policies and programs.
• Assist managers with HR issues and reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.
• Coordinate benefits administration and payroll support.
• Prepare reports and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Support travel between facilities as needed.
