Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR activities for a multi-state workforce. You will partner with branch managers and employees on training, benefits, onboarding, and policy guidance to ensure consistent HR practices across locations.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of employment laws. This position operates on-site, with a focus on recruiting, employee relations, and total rewards.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of HR experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications.
• Ability to quickly learn HRIS and ATS software.
• Experience in heavy equipment, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment a plus.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and reviews policies to maintain compliance.
• Participates in developing department goals and objectives, including recruiting and retention training and development, employee and labor relations, and total rewards.
• Maintains confidentiality and integrity in all matters.
• Coordinates and delivers manager and employee training on HR topics and policies.
• Supports performance review cycles, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
• Assists with the Performance Management processes and training.
• Assists with reporting for the Apprenticeship Program.
• Aids with conducting exit interviews and shares trends with HR leadership.
• Conducts or assists with workplace investigations and recommends resolutions.
• Serves as a point of contact for employee and manager questions on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
• Helps draft, update, and communicate offer letters, policies, and the employee handbook so they stay consistent across locations.
• Consistent and reliable on-site attendance.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
