Job summary

Universal Weather And Aviation in Coppell, TX is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance across the company. The role collaborates with HRBPs, managers, and staff to enhance the employee experience.

Responsibilities include managing job requisitions, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, open enrollment, training support, HRIS maintenance, and offboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field or equivalent education, training and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
• HR-related experience with a large hourly employee population.
• HR-related experience in the hospitality sector, such as food services industry, hotel, country club, etc.
• Verbal and written fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills, ability to present information and work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of current federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, managing priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in interpreting and applying policies to problems.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)
• Proficient in ADP Workforce Now

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and onboarding: manage job requisitions, posting, and onboarding tasks including IT onboarding and new hire paperwork.
• Employment changes: process status changes, promotions, and wage verifications.
• Benefit and leave: assist with benefits enrollment and Open Enrollment communications.
• Training and engagement: support training materials and employee engagement activities.
• HRIS: own ACW side of HRIS, update data and maintain files.
• HR Compliance: coordinate post-accident testing, monitor driving records, wage changes, OSHA reporting.
• Offboarding: generate offboarding paperwork and coordinate with IT and payroll.
• Other: provide excellent customer service and contribute to process improvements and projects.
