Job summary

Black Bear Talent is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to support a client through full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations. This direct-hire role focuses on building strong employee relations and effective benefits administration across departments.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive HR experience, a solid grasp of federal and state employment laws, and proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles.
• Partner with hiring managers to define competencies, screening criteria, and interview structure.
• Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies and external recruitment partners.
• Support onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Maintain applicants tracking documentation and compliance reporting.
• Maintain confidential tracking of candidate documentation and compliance timelines.
• Administer FMLA, ADA, and other statutory or company leaves.
• Maintain leave tracking systems and documentation.
• Communicate with medical providers and ensure return-to-work clearance compliance.
• Maintain personnel records, I-9 documentation, and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Other duties as assigned per the HR Director
