Job summary

Easterseals Massachusetts is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support to internal teams and our external ESmart clients in a busy environment. The role ensures policy guidance, compliance oversight, and employee lifecycle support across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of HR experience, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience across multiple HR functions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR tactical support to functional groups.
• Partner with HR Director to make recommendations for compliance and policy changes.
• Support external ESmart clients with HR guidance on employment, employee relations, benefits, and payroll inquiries.
• Coordinate compliance/regulatory mailings and policy updates.
• Administer leaves of absence and payroll activities for clients, and assist in onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Assist recruitment activities, including job postings and coordinating interviews.
• Support performance management, benefits enrollment, and HRIS activities.
