Job summary

YMCA of the North Shore is seeking an Experienced HR Generalist to join our People & Culture team in Beverly, MA. The role covers employee relations, onboarding, policy administration, and performance management across multiple YMCA locations.

You will guide managers on coaching, ensure legal compliance, and support engagement initiatives in a mission-driven environment. A 4-year degree and 2+ years HR experience are preferred, with strong discretion and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years HR Generalist or HRBP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency with G Suite and HRIS systems.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations and compliance, advise on policies and laws.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Coach managers on performance management and evaluations.
• Assist with training and development initiatives.
• Foster culture and employee engagement across locations.
• Oversee HR operations and maintain accurate records.
