Job summary

Knight Const. & Supply, Inc. in Deer Park, WA seeks a dedicated HR Generalist to support daily HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, policy compliance, and HR recordkeeping.

You will foster a positive workplace culture, maintain HRIS data, assist with audits and training, and collaborate with management to ensure safety and compliance across federal, state and local laws. This is a stable, family‑owned environment offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
• PHR or SHRM-CP highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience in construction/Federal Contractor environment a plus.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams) proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and candidate communications.
• Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
• Administer leave programs, including FMLA, WA PFML, ADA accommodations, and other company leave policies.
• Assist employees with benefits enrollment and benefit-related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS data.
