Job summary

Royal is a diverse manufacturer serving automotive, furniture and consumer products. Royal Center Corporate facility in Hudsonville, MI hosts an HR Generalist role focusing on benefits and recruitment within the HR team.

The position reports to the Compensation, Benefits and HR Compliance Leader and requires 3–5 years HR experience with knowledge of FMLA/ADA. You will drive onboarding processes, open enrollment, and partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit hourly staff.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years HR experience with at least one year in benefits and recruitment.
• Bachelor in Business, HR, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related federal and state regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and customer service mindset.
• Ability to travel within the US – likely not more than 2 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Administer Royal’s employee benefit programs, including onboarding, annual open enrollment, ongoing program education, and team member questions.
• Handle leave administration and accommodation requests per legal requirements and best practices.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support full life cycle hourly recruitment, review applications, interview, extend offers, and onboard new hires.
• Lead activities to bring employees together to strengthen community within and beyond the organization.
• Support HR continuous improvement projects as part of the HR team.
