Wabash General Hospital is seeking an HR Generalist – Benefits to administer comprehensive employee benefits programs and support wellness initiatives. The role collaborates with payroll, providers, and leadership to ensure accurate benefits administration and superior service.

In addition to benefits duties, this position backs up payroll processing quarterly and during absences. A strong HRIS background and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, HR, or related field.
• 2+ years in benefits administration or HR-related area.
• Experience with HRIS and employee benefits platforms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, HSA, FSA, retirement, COBRA).
• Assist enrollment, eligibility, coverage questions, and claims.
• Coordinate open enrollment, onboarding, changes, and offboarding.
• Support ACA compliance filings and payroll-related benefit tasks.
• Backup Payroll Clerk; process payroll quarterly as needed.
• Maintain benefit data in HRIS and payroll systems.
