Wabash General Hospital is seeking an HR Generalist – Benefits to administer employee benefits programs, support wellness initiatives, and advise staff on benefit questions. The role collaborates with payroll, providers, and leadership to ensure accurate benefits administration and strong service.

The Benefits Specialist will also back up the Payroll Clerk, handling quarterly payroll duties and compliance tasks such as ACA filings, while maintaining confidential employee information and

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in benefits administration or HR.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Mansioni

• Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, HSA, FSA, retirement plans, and COBRA.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment, eligibility, coverage questions, and claim resolution.
• Coordinate new hire benefit enrollment, employee changes, and offboarding processes.
• Support annual Open Enrollment planning and administration.
• Maintain accurate benefit and employee data within the HRIS and payroll systems.
• Coordinate benefit-related payments and deductions with Payroll and Accounts Payable.
• Plan, promote, and support employee wellness programs and engagement activities.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, employee records management, and HR compliance activities.
• Support performance management processes, including distribution and tracking of annual review documentation.
• Input benefit data into payroll systems and prepare check requests for benefit-related deductions.
• Process payroll quarterly and in the absence of the Payroll Clerk.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date employee benefit files.
• Maintain and update benefit-related policies and procedures.
• Complete annual ACA compliance filings.
• Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department while maintaining strict confidentiality.
