Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee seeks an experienced HR professional to coordinate a broad range of human resource functions, including benefits administration, recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will support employees on leaves and compensation, maintain accurate personnel files, and liaise with Payroll to ensure smooth HR operations. A Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of related HR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience administering benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
• Ability to develop HR policies and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a broad range of HR functions including benefits administration and onboarding.
• Research, analyze, and administer healthcare plans and other benefits.
• Provide support on leaves, compensation, and employee relations; ensure compliance.
• Maintain employee files and records; serve as HR liaison with Payroll.
