Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Moon Township Corporate Office HR team. You will oversee benefits and retirement programs, coordinate open enrollment, and support HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle.

The role emphasizes accuracy, responsiveness, and knowledge to administer plans, ensure compliance, and foster a positive workplace experience for employees and managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in HR, benefits administration, payroll, or a related HR role.
• Hands-on experience with benefits administration, 401(k) retirement plan administration, HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
• Working knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, employment laws, leave administration, workers’ compensation, and HR practices.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Administers health, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefit, wellness, and 401(k) programs.
• Partners with vendors, brokers, and third-party admins to resolve issues and coordinate plan changes.
• Manages 401(k) enrollments, contributions, eligibility tracking, and compliance activities.
• Coordinates open enrollment and monitors benefits eligibility, FMLA, disability, and workers’ compensation processes.
• Supports benefits benchmarking, renewals, plan evaluations, and cost-effective offerings.
• Serves as a trusted resource for benefits, retirement plans, HR policies, and employment questions.
• Ensures compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, etc.
• Reconciles benefit invoices, retirement plan contributions, and related records.
• Coordinates wellness initiatives promoting health and preventive care.
• Supports recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, interviews, and orientation.
• Maintains HR records, HRIS data, reports, and workforce metrics.
• Assists with employee relations, performance management, investigations, policy administration, and retention efforts.
