Planet Pharma is seeking an HR professional to execute HR strategies at our Sumter, SC plant and partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting events to support site staffing needs.

The role includes advising on compensation, coaching managers through employee relations issues, and ensuring adherence to EEOC and other regulations. A B.S./B.A. in HR or related field is required, with manufacturing experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of HR experience.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • HR certifications preferred.
  • HR experience in manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Executes HR strategies for the Sumter plant.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting events for the site and ensures EEOC compliance.
  • Addresses compensation issues to ensure internal and local market consistency.
  • Reviews and approves performance appraisals, job evaluations, educational assistance requests, and disciplinary actions.
  • Advises on training needs and facilitates training to improve managerial effectiveness.
  • Provides guidance on EEO guidelines and communication needs.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements HR policies; leads HR-related continuous improvement projects.
  • Leads site-wide programs in areas such as Affirmative Action, Talent Management, and Community Relations; analyzes data to measure impact.
  • Coordinates and leads training for associates and managers on HR topics.

Job description

Work environment: Office and capability to visit manufacturing area daily.

Description:

  • Executes HR strategies in support of the Sumter plant.
  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition organization to support the recruiting and marketing events for the site, ensuring compliance to EEOC requirements.
  • Supports Access HR in addressing employee relations issues, performance issues, and associates; complaints and grievances by coaching the associate and their leader.
  • Uses various online HR Information Systems to manage HR processes around reporting, recruitment, performance management, compensation, workforce management, etc.
  • Addresses compensation issues, as needed, to ensure consistency internally and within the local market.
  • Reviews and approves performance appraisals, job evaluations, educational assistance requests, and corrective/disciplinary action, ensuring consistency in administration.
  • Advises on training and capability needs, facilitate training to improve managerial effectiveness.
  • Provides advice concerning EEO guidelines, improvement suggestions, and communication needs.
  • Develops, communicates, interprets, and implements HR policies as needed. At the direction of the Sr. HR Business Partner, leads HR related Continuous Improvement projects.
  • May lead site-wide programs related to Affirmative Action, Compensation, Talent Management, Community Relations, Employee Activities, etc. Develops metrics, conducts analysis of trends, and draws conclusions from data related to various measures related to HR initiatives, deliverables, and programs.
  • Coordinates and leads training for associates and managers on pertinent human resource, development and policy topics.
  • Complies with HR regulatory legal mandates, such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Human Resources Management, business or related field.
  • Human Resources Related Professional Certifications preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of HR experience. HR experience within a manufacturing/industrial setting is a plus.
  • Best-qualified candidates will possess diverse experience in employment, associate relations, compensation administration, regulatory compliance, industrial safety, and Worker’s Compensation.

Pay Range: 32-38/hr *based on experience
