Job summary

Sherpa | Recruiting, Staffing & Consulting is seeking an HR Generalist to support employees and supervisors on a second shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) at our Winston-Salem plant. You will handle employee relations, onboarding, attendance, and staffing coordination to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field and 1–3 years of HR experience, along with strong communication, confidentiality, and proficiency with MS Office and HRIS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 1–3 years of HR, recruiting, or employee support experience.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to learn HRIS and reporting tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and supervisors.
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
• Support initiatives for engagement, morale, and retention.
• Maintain accurate employee records and process personnel changes.
• Assist with attendance management, leave coordination, and return-to-work processes.
• Provide visible HR support across departments and shifts.
• Support recruiting efforts, including scheduling and documentation.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new hires.
• Partner with hiring managers to support staffing needs.
• Maintain confidential employee files and ensure HR documentation is up to date.
• Support compliance initiatives, audits, and reporting.
• Apply policies consistently while handling sensitive information.
• Assist with incident follow-up and coordination with stakeholders.
• Support accommodations and return-to-work processes.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to reinforce policies and safety.
• Participate in HR events and program implementations.
• Assist with HR reporting and data tracking.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes.
