Job Overview

We are seeking an HR Generalist who will support day‑to‑day human resources operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role partners closely with clinical and operational leadership to support workforce needs, maintain regulatory readiness, and uphold a culture of accountability, quality, and service excellence. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in onboarding and orientation execution, as well as preparing for and supporting regulatory body surveys and audits.

This position is being offered as a Hybrid role and in order to be considered you MUST live within driving distance of our San Antonio or Dallas office locations. This role may also require some travel to branch locations and participation in on‑site regulatory surveys.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Support
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and frontline leaders across assigned regions or service lines
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and best practices to leaders and employees
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including licensure, certifications, and required documentation
  • Ensure timely processing of employee status changes, job changes, and separations
Onboarding & Orientation
  • Own and execute the end‑to‑end onboarding process for clinical and non‑clinical hires
  • Ensure all pre‑employment requirements are completed timely (background checks, I‑9, licensure verification, health screenings, and required documentation)
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring alignment with company policies, compliance standards, and role‑specific expectations
  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure clinicians are onboarded efficiently and transitioned to active caseloads as quickly as possible
  • Track and monitor onboarding progress, ensuring completion of all required training, credentials, and documentation prior to patient care delivery
  • Identify onboarding gaps and continuously improve processes to enhance new hire experience and reduce time‑to‑productivity
  • Ensure onboarding and orientation processes meet regulatory and audit requirements
Compliance & Regulatory Support
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and home health regulatory requirements
  • Partner with clinical leadership to track and maintain required licensure, certifications, and training compliance
  • Support readiness for regulatory surveys (e.g., state health departments, accrediting bodies) by conducting audits, maintaining documentation, and addressing gaps proactively
  • Assist in responding to survey findings, corrective action plans, and ongoing compliance monitoring
  • Maintain working knowledge of home health regulations, including Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and state‑specific requirements
Talent & Workforce Support
  • Partner with recruiting and hiring managers to support staffing needs and ensure seamless transition from candidate to onboarded employee
  • Assist in workforce planning and tracking onboarding timelines, time‑to‑start, and time‑to‑productivity metrics
  • Support training initiatives and onboarding‑related education for leaders
HR Data & Reporting
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports related to compliance, onboarding metrics, and workforce data
  • Conduct regular audits of personnel files, onboarding documentation, and required compliance records
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
