Job summary

Lantech in Louisville, KY is seeking an HR Generalist who stays close to the business, builds strong relationships with leaders and associates, and owns HR responsibilities from recruiting through the employee experience.

The role is hands-on, supporting our manufacturing organization as a primary HR partner to Team Leaders. You’ll recruit, coach leaders, support employees, address employee-relations issues, and help simplify HR processes while improving retention across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience as HR Generalist, employee relations, recruiting, or similar HR roles preferred.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, operations, or similar employee population is a plus.
• Experience with applicant tracking and/or HRIS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for assigned manufacturing areas.
• Build strong working relationships with Team Leaders, managers, and associates.
• Coach leaders through employee and performance situations.
• Support employee relations, attendance, performance, and corrective-action processes.
• Help leaders apply HR policies and practices consistently.
• Conduct employee conversations and workplace investigations as needed.
• Identify trends and proactively address workforce concerns.
• Own recruiting for your areas, including posting positions, creating job descriptions, reviewing applications, coordinating assessments and interviews, and supporting offers.

Lantech is looking for an HR Generalist who enjoys being close to the business, building relationships with leaders and associates, and owning HR responsibilities from recruiting through the employee experience.

This is a hands-on HR role supporting our manufacturing organization. The HR Generalist will be responsible for an assigned area of the business and will serve as a primary HR partner to its Team Leaders and associates.

This role is a great fit for someone who doesn't want to specialize in just one area of HR. You'll recruit, coach leaders, support employees, work through employee-relations issues, help improve retention, and participate in projects that make our HR processes better.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary HR resource for assigned manufacturing areas
• Build strong working relationships with Team Leaders, managers, and associates
• Coach leaders through employee and performance situations
• Support employee relations, attendance, performance, and corrective-action processes
• Help leaders apply HR policies and practices consistently
• Conduct employee conversations and workplace investigations as needed
• Identify trends and proactively address workforce concerns

Own Recruiting for Your Areas

You’ll own recruiting for the areas of the business you support, including:

• Partnering with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs
• Posting open positions
• Creating and maintaining job descriptions and posting templates in Paycor
• Reviewing applications and resumes
• Coordinating candidate assessments
• Coordinating interviews with hiring leaders
• Maintaining timely candidate communication
• Following up with Team Leaders throughout the selection process
• Supporting offers and pre-employment activities
• Maintaining visibility into open positions and recruiting progress

Our HR team works collaboratively, so recruiting assignments and support may shift based on business needs and overall team workload.

Support Retention & Employee Development

• Participate in retention efforts and identify workforce trends
• Support new-hire integration and follow-up
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives
• Support employee development and internal movement
• Help leaders identify opportunities to improve the associate experience

Improve How HR Works

We’re actively working to simplify and improve our HR processes. You’ll be expected to help us:

• Develop and maintain HR standard work
• Identify unnecessary administrative steps
• Simplify workflows
• Utilize technology and automation where appropriate
• Improve HR documentation and processes
• Cross-train with other members of the HR team

The goal is to spend less time on unnecessary administration and more time working directly with our people and leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
• HR Generalist, employee relations, recruiting, or similar HR experience preferred
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, operations, or similar employee population is a plus
• Experience with applicant tracking and/or HRIS systems preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
