Job summary

IPL Schoeller in Leominster, MA is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR initiatives, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR administration.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role.
• Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred!
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, labor relations, and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, multi-site, or fast-paced environments is a plus.
• Diploma/degree in HR or related field; professional HR certification desirable.

The role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist at our Leominster, MA manufacturing facility to support the day-to-day execution of human resources initiatives while helping foster a culture of performance, accountability, engagement, and growth. This role serves as a trusted partner to employees and managers, providing guidance across a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, employee engagement, and HR administration.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and is passionate about supporting both people and business objectives.

Candidate must be available to be onsite 5 days per week and have schedule flexibility for meetings, investigations, etc due to the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace matters, employee relations, and conflict resolution.

• Support positive employee engagement initiatives and help promote a productive and inclusive work environment.

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities for hourly/non-salaried positions, including candidate screening, interviews, pre-employment processes, and onboarding.

• Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with company values, business objectives, and legal requirements.

• Partner with managers to support performance management processes, employee development, coaching, and feedback discussions.

• Maintain compliance with applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.

• Manage employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.

• Collaborate with operations leadership to support workplace safety initiatives and return-to-work programs.

• Prepare, analyze, and report on key HR metrics and KPIs to support business decision-making.

• Participate in divisional and corporate HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

• Organize and support employee wellness, engagement, recognition, and community involvement activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must have 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role.

• Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred!

• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, labor relations, and HR best practices.

• Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
