Job summary

Versique Executive, Professional & Interim Recruiting seeks an HR Generalist to serve as the primary HR resource for the Dayton facility, handling employee relations, coaching, leave administration, compliance, and process improvement. The role offers autonomy in a fast-paced environment and a direct impact on business operations.

The incumbent will build strong relationships with employees and managers, lead investigations, and ensure accurate HR records while aligning with Minnesota policies

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
• Strong employee relations experience, including investigations and performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and influence supervisors and managers.
• Hands-on experience with leave of absence administration and employee accommodations.
• Strong HR administration skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Sound HR judgment with the ability to independently assess situations and recommend solutions.
• Ability to work with urgency and prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for the Dayton manufacturing facility.
• Build trusted relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Lead employee relations matters, investigations, performance discussions, and coaching conversations.
• Coach managers and supervisors on employee issues, policies, and workforce decisions.
• Administer leaves of absence, accommodations, and related processes.
• Provide HR guidance within a unionized environment, interpreting collective bargaining provisions.
• Support Minnesota-specific HR policies, compliance initiatives, and handbook updates.
• Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and operational efficiencies.
• Partner with the broader HR team to support a growing workforce.

The HR Generalist will serve as the primary HR resource for the Dayton facility, providing hands‑on support across employee relations, manager coaching, leave administration, compliance, HR administration, and process improvement. This is a high‑impact role for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, solving problems, building relationships, and working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary Range:

Annual salary $70,000-90,000 base

• Self‑directed, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a high‑demand environment

Preferred Skills & Experience

• HR experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a unionized or labor environment
• Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations
• Experience supporting organizations experiencing significant growth or change
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
