Job summary

Versique Executive, Professional & Interim Recruiting seeks a QA Support role to bolster the Quality Management System across manufacturing operations in Minnesota. The position involves inspection, documentation, and disposition of quality issues under guidance of the Quality Manager.

You will work with production teams to ensure conformance, participate in continuous improvement projects, and support the measurement and inspection processes using calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or certificate in manufacturing, engineering, quality or related field.
• At least 6 months of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience with inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours to meet production needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of GD&T concepts.

• Ensure compliance with quality requirements with production personnel.
• Assist with problem-solving and corrective actions using quality tools.
• Support disposition of non-conforming material with Quality Engineers.

Job description

This position reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for supporting the organization’s Quality Management System through the control, inspection, disposition, and execution of quality policies and procedures across manufacturing and assembly operations.

Worksite Location: On-site position in west-central Minnesota.

Salary: Salary range depends on experience, with an anticipated range of $60,000–$73,000, plus additional incentive opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others by following established safety policies and procedures.
• Work directly with production personnel to ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
• Assist with problem-solving and corrective action activities using structured problem-solving methodologies and quality tools.
• Support Quality Engineers and other team members with the identification, control, documentation, and disposition of non-conforming material.
• Participate in special quality and continuous improvement projects as assigned.
• Provide leadership and direction to groups or individuals through positive communication, motivation, and conflict resolution.
• Collaborate with employees throughout the manufacturing process to identify and address quality concerns.
• Develop and implement inspection and sorting techniques using a variety of precision measurement tools and gauges.
• Effectively utilize mechanical inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no-go gauges, and other standard inspection equipment.
• Accurately complete inspection records, reports, documentation, and other required paperwork.
• Consistently meet established productivity and efficiency expectations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, productivity, and process efficiency.
• Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments.
• Support the organization’s quality objectives and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality products.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Two-year technical degree or certificate in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or a related discipline; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• At least six months of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience, with some experience performing inspections using standard measurement equipment and techniques.
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions and established procedures.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to meet production and business requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic understanding of GD&T concepts.
• Knowledge of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
