Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Category Manager to support HR and Finance procurement across the organization. You will lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier management while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and standards.

The role partners with HR, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to drive value and strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills and a track record in managing sourcing projects, negotiating commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Contract Management, or a related function.
• Experience managing supplier negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing events, supplier negotiations, renewals, and competitive bid processes for HR and Finance categories.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Review, negotiate, and redline commercial contracts with Legal and stakeholders.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, pricing, and terms to identify value and mitigate risk.
• Manage contract renewals and ensure agreements remain competitive and aligned with needs.
• Serve as procurement partner to HR and Finance stakeholders and guide processes.
• Monitor supplier performance and assist with issue resolution and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain documentation.
