Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Accountant to handle financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the assigned business area. You will assist with forecasts, budgeting, and process improvements, collaborating with Operations and HR to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial performance.

The role emphasizes weekly/monthly close, production/inventory reporting, and cost reduction initiatives, with exposure to CAPEX, audits, and LEAN programs. 1+ year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ year of accounting or finance experience; manufacturing/plant preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with SAP/Workday/UKG preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• US resident; must reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly and monthly close activities.
• Report and provide insight to monthly operation results.
• Support production reporting and inventory functions.
• Analyze cost savings and cost reduction activities.
• Assist with CAPEX requests (CIRs) and annual operating plan.
• Partner with Operations, HR, and other departments.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure compliance.
• Support LEAN and Safety initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects.
