ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an HR & Facility Specialist to join our Austin, Texas office. As our people expert on site, you are the first point of contact for employees and managers in the US, and you work closely with the Global HR & Accounts Manager who’s located at the HQ in Belgium.
Your main focus is on recruitment, hiring and onboarding: finding the right people, guiding them through a smooth hiring process and making sure they get off to a strong start. You also follow up on employees throughout their journey with us, run payroll accurately and on time, and drive HR projects that help our growing organization work better.
This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys variety and likes to be close to the people they support.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment, hiring & onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: align on job profiles with hiring managers, write and post vacancies, source and screen candidates.
- Plan and coordinate interviews, gather feedback and keep candidates informed at every step.
- Prepare offers and employment documents, and handle pre-employment checks and new hire paperwork (e.g. I-9, W-4).
- Own the onboarding process: first-day preparation, introductions, training plans and check-ins during the first months.
Employee follow-up
- Be the go-to person for employees and managers on HR questions, policies and procedures.
- Follow up on employees throughout their journey: probation reviews, performance and development conversations, contract changes and exits.
- Keep employee files and HR systems complete, accurate and confidential.
- Support managers in handling sensitive situations with care and in line with US and Texas employment law.
Payroll & administration
- Prepare and process payroll in close cooperation with our payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Administer time off, benefits enrollment and changes, keeping everything compliant with federal and state requirements.
HR projects & facility
- Drive and support HR projects, such as improving processes, policies, employee engagement and HR tools.
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of the Austin office: workplace, suppliers and health & safety.
- Organize team events and help build a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced, people-oriented HR professional who combines a structured way of working with a warm, hands-on approach.
You have:
- At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- Proven experience with recruitment and onboarding, from job posting to the first months on the job.
- Hands-on experience with US payroll and benefits administration.
- Good knowledge of US and Texas employment law and HR compliance.
- Experience with HR information systems; familiarity with BambooHR is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and a high level of discretion.
- Fluent in both English & Spanish, both written and spoken.
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and work closely with colleagues in different countries.
- A proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A full-time role at our Austin, Texas office, within an international & growing company.
- A varied position combining recruitment, people follow-up, payroll, projects and office management.
- An international working environment with colleagues across multiple countries.
- Real room to grow: an organization scaling across three countries, with close follow-up and mutual feedback.
- Regular team events in a close-knit, inclusive and international team.
