ELMHS in Jackson, LA seeks an experienced HR professional to manage confidential discipline, grievance, and workplace-violence matters within the Human Resources Department. You will serve as the subject matter expert for disciplinary processes and coordinate with the Legal department and LDH on pre-deprivation actions.

The role requires six years of HR experience or a combination of field experience and HR expertise, with relevant degrees or SHRM certifications providing substitution.

Qualificações

• Experience with complex confidential matters in HR and employee relations.
• Knowledge of Civil Service rules and state/federal law applications.
• SHRM certifications may substitute for up to one year of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert-level HR and employee relations support for discipline, grievance, and workplace violence matters.
• Develop and implement discipline policies and procedures for ELMHS.
• Review internal investigations, gather statements, and assess evidence.
• Prepare pre-deprivation letters and coordinate with LDH Legal for review.
• Lead employee responses to disciplinary actions and issue final letters.
• Assist Legal department in Civil Service reviews of discipline actions.
• Issue and track administrative leaves, counseling letters, and terminations as needed.
• Investigate workplace violence and sexual harassment reports and advise Legal.
