The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an onsite Human Resources Analyst A/B/C/Specialist (Discipline) to support performance management and discipline processes.

The role runs 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with possible flexibility after meeting criteria; hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $26.00, and work is governed by State Civil Service rules with LaGov tools.

Competenze

• Three years of human resources experience.
• OR six years of full-time experience in any field.
• OR a bachelor's degree.
• Credit toward six years: every 30 semester hours equals one year.
• Maximum substitution: 120 semester hours substitutes for up to four years of experience.
• Ability to be open to and follow guidance and instructions.
• Ability to communicate information in structured, engaging ways.
• Ability to follow policies to maintain compliance.
• Ability to analyze information objectively and draw conclusions.

• Counsel managers on documenting substandard performance or behavior.
• Review drafts of disciplinary letters and provide recommendations.
• Consult with legal staff as needed.
• Conduct complex or sensitive investigations when required.
• Draft non-disciplinary removal letters.
• Prepare suspension letters and monitor leave entries in LaGov.
• Prepare Civil Service appeals documentation and testify as needed.
• Guide employees and management on the grievance process.
• Process information requests.
• Develop discipline training materials and conduct sessions.
