Job summary

Boone Supported Living LLC is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Director to lead HR across multiple Missouri communities. The role reports to the CEO and supervises the HR team, ensuring compliant, effective people practices.

You will drive policies, benefits administration, investigations, recruiting, and staff development while balancing regulatory requirements with compassionate service to the individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive human resources experience.
• Previous HR leadership or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience with employment compliance, employee relations, investigations, and policy administration.
• Working knowledge of benefits, workers' compensation, unemployment, FMLA, and leave administration.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and communicate clearly with employees and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations and supervise, coach, and support HR staff.
• Maintain compliance with federal and Missouri employment laws, Department of Mental Health requirements, and organizational policies.
• Develop, review, communicate, and consistently administer policies, procedures, and HR systems.
• Advise leadership and managers on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
• Oversee workplace investigations and ensure issues are addressed promptly, consistently, and thoroughly.
• Manage benefits administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, FMLA, leaves of absence, and related documentation.
• Provide oversight of recruiting, onboarding, retention, training coordination, and employee records.
• Track HR trends and workforce needs, identify risks, and recommend practical improvements.
• Balance operational needs, regulatory requirements, and fair treatment of employees while supporting services for the people we serve.
