Job summary

CoStar Group in Arlington, VA, is seeking an HR Reporting Analyst to join the HR Technology & Reporting team. The role centers on delivering accurate workforce insights through Workday reporting, Power BI dashboards, and scalable reporting processes.

The analyst will independently manage HR reporting workloads, transform data, and provide actionable insights to HR leaders and business stakeholders, while maintaining data quality and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, data science, information systems, mathematics, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, workforce analytics, HR analytics, or related role, including ownership of recurring reports.
• Experience managing sensitive and confidential data.
• Hands-on experience creating reports, dashboards, or analytics using Power BI, Excel, Workday reporting, or similar BI tools.
• Experience analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and data quality issues.
• Experience using AI-driven analytics tools to support reporting automation and validation.
• Experience with data integration and governance practices, with knowledge of privacy regulations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform analysis of moderately complex and voluminous workforce data from various sources.
• Build, maintain, and enhance recurring dashboards and reports in Power BI, Excel, and Workday.
• Collect, clean, transform, and reconcile HR data to support reliable reporting.
• Analyze data to identify patterns and summarize findings for HR leaders and stakeholders.
• Identify new data sources and methods to improve data collection and reporting.
• Create efficient queries and reporting outputs from business data requests.
• Support data quality and governance practices, escalating risks as needed.
• Audit large datasets for inconsistencies and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Leverage AI-driven analytics tools to streamline reporting and validation.
• Communicate findings through summaries, dashboards, and stakeholder conversations.
