Job summary

Lactalis USA is hiring a HR Core Services Intern for Buffalo, New York. This paid internship requires a minimum of twenty hours per week and supports a team handling Benefits, HR Systems, Payroll, HR Policy and Procedures, and other HR activities.

The role involves auditing employee records, data analysis, processing HR documents (I-9s, deductions), and assisting with project tasks and reporting within a large dairy company that values Ambition, Engagement, and Simplicity.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a full-time college student or recent graduate pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business with an HR concentration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive HR information and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide support on daily HR tasks aligned with department objectives, including auditing employee changes and payroll data.
• Conduct internal HR audits of records, policies, and deductions; assist with reporting.
• Perform data analysis to support informed decisions across HR.
• Process wage garnishments, child support deductions, and unemployment documents.
• Respond to HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with payroll projects, software migrations, and other core HR initiatives.
• Support mandatory reporting such as Affirmative Action, EEO, CA Pay Data, and ACA.
